who i am

My name is Eire. I'm 21 years old.

I love to draw and paint. Someday, I hope to be infamous with it. Or at least rich. Not. Haha, well I also play the guitar, lots of classical styles, but I love rock style too, especially playing 60s (Beatles!) songs but it doesn't really matter what, as long as it sounds good to me. I also like doing the somewhat dorky topic of reading about the paranormal/occult and such things like that. I love classic movies too, especially the 1930s, 50s, and 60s. I do other things too but I won't say.

Oh, And this is my shitastic blog where I type about all the nothings that happen. Well, not all, but whatever I feel like mentioning for whatever reason that would be that I can't think of. Read at your own caution, as you might die of boredom/go back to navigating pr0n sites/gnaw your arms off.

Well the art store didn't have any tinted watercolour paper. I've seen it in books, where they bought it already tinted and didn't have to do it themselves. But apparently the store doesn't sell any. I thought they kinda had a lot of stuff there but none of that apparently. Bought a lot of just tinted drawing/pastel paper though, so I'll just use those. I guess I could tint my own watercolour paper, huh? Haha but I want just an all over smooth wash and I get bored of doing that and it might not come out all the same colour. And I'm lazy.

Done.

Rest in peace, Michael J. Jackson.

Today has been an odd day. I didn't work on any of my art today because it's just been too heavy and confusing. I cannot believe that Michael Jackson is dead. It really seems so unreal. He was one of the first musicians that I actually listened to and enjoyed; during the early 90s he was probably my favourite singer. Though, I didn't really keep up with him until he came back around 2001 when I was about 12-13. I did enjoy the new songs he was putting out then; having Brando in that vid was pretty cool.
I can remember when George Harrison died and where I was. Sitting in my room and listening to the radio when they announced it. I wasn't the huge Beatles fan until a few years later when I was 16, but I knew his importance. I'm actually sort of 'glad' I wasn't the big fan then because it would've been a gigantic blow since he is my favourite. Thus I was spared that sort of pain and shock, though it's still painful for me to think of George not being around; but I can imagine it would have felt somewhat like today does with the passing of Michael. It's just unbelievable that he's gone. Just 2 weeks ago I put an order out on one of his albums with his #1's. I wanted to get back into his music again (still do, still will). Lena was planning a portrait of him. I been sitting here listening to his songs trying to think of something to type about him but nothing is really sufficient.
Oddly enough, only a few days ago I heard that commercial again that's on lately that plays Jackson 5/young Michael singing I'll be there and thinking what a great talent he was even then and how beautiful he sounded there. I had the oddest feeling then; I guess it was maybe a sort of premonition.
It doesn't matter to me what kind of negative shit the media has said about him. It makes me sorta angry now that he's gone they play fair. But I'll only ever remember the good things about him and the things he gave to the world.
R.I.P. Michael.

Well another "wip". That picture is actually from a couple days ago...lol I finished up some more of it and worked more on her face. But I'm too lazy to upload the pics so that'll do. Lol I notice we had the same font from Kiss me Kiss me kiss me so I used it.

Almost done with one of two commissions. Should finish by tomorrow. Marilyn should almost be done by then too; Friday if I'm slow. Any longer and I'm just lazy. Haha.

Blahblah, so damn hot lately. Like 100 degrees, almost. So damn boring.

Well, it was my 21st birthday yesterday. I took a picture of the cake. It was still in the box when I did, haha. It was eaten immediately. Well I think there's still a little left. Anyway, it was really good.

I don't know why I assumed I'd have that Marilyn charcoal done so soon. Probably won't be done for a while. I'm lax in working on it since last post, haha. Well actually I did a bit more on it. I'm not sure if I mentioned it's being done on tinted paper. Well it is. I'm not sure whether I should add white heightening to it with white charcoal so I'll probably wait til I'm all done...take a photo of it before I do that in case I ruin it. lol

Well, thats a new charcoal of Marilyn I started. That looks really weird there, haha its not nearly done. The face isn't done either but I wanted to post something of it here. I think it's gonna come out pretty neat if I continue to take my time on it. I don't know when exactly it'll be all done; maybe on Monday.

I've been doing some more sketches on the comp, too. To print later and re-outline and paint by hand. I found some pictures of a particular model that look really cool; I'll probably do a coloured-pencil portrait of her. I have those two other commissions to start though haha I'll probably finish at least one of them before I start that.

And on thisismarilyn, I'm currently #5 on the leaderboard. LOL Well, I don't mind exactly which of the prizes I win, as long as I win something. Because they're all very nice, it doesn't matter which. I will have to try and keep this up until early August. I think I can. A few days ago I wasn't even in the leaderboard at all. So its hilarious.
If anybody wants to help me win, use this referral link to sign up. You don't even have to be a fan of Marilyn. Just do it. http://www.ThisIsMarilyn.com/index.php?referrer=eire

Happy 67th birthday to Paul McCartney. I found the dumbest picture to put here. lol. If only I was born 4 days sooner we coulda had the same birthday. Well, close enough.

Well I am going crazy uploading on ThisisMarilyn. Hahaha I really want to win a prize but I don't know if I will.
Also I finished all three of those commissions. Still waiting on payment from an old 40$ pair. Lena will bug them about it lol. And I got two more to do, 30$ each. I'm happy to have money haha and the ref pics they gave her are nice and big. So it should be easy.

Will get started tomorrow.
